Flip-flop

From Fox Labs Wiki

Flip-flops or latches are circuits that have two stable states that can store information, otherwise known as a bistable multivibrator. The circuit can be made to change states by applying a signal to one or more inputs, outputting its state (and commonly its logical complement as well).
